Our History:
In 1996, Ernie Santin set out to make an innovative
drug-free breathing aid to stop his snoring, relieve his nasal
stuffiness, and enhance and ease his breathing for deeper more
restful sleep, so that he would be refreshed and revitalized in
the morning.
After thousands of comfort fit tests and hours of experimentation,
the first production parts were completed in 1999, with USFDA certified
material. Product trials were conducted, as Ernie found that his
friends and associates were also in need of restful sleep and help
breathing.
In late 2002, the U. S. Patent and Trademark
Office allowed the patent on Ernie’s unique breathing aid, Sinus Cones™.
Creating new and innovative products has
been Ernie’s life
for over 50 years. An entrepreneur who founded a prototype engineering
firm, Santin Engineering, Inc, in 1955, Ernie has developed prototypes
of new product concepts that now are household names. From lighting,
to computers, to mockups of jet engines (this is how he knows a
thing or two about airflow), inventiveness is the core of his existence.
When Ernie wanted an effective, high quality
device for breathing enhancement, he chose to design, develop
and create it himself so that Sinus Cones™ would meet his strict
standards for performance and comfort. That is the short story
behind the original idea for the Sinus Cones™.
