Snoring
Snoring
and Sinus Cones™ - How Sinus Cones™ Help Reduce
Disordered Dependency on Mouth-Breathing
Snoring is frequently due to the
inability to breathe deeply and adequately through the nose. Restricted
breathing through the nasal passages may be due to congestion from
a cold or allergies, chronic sinusitis, persistent nasal stuffiness,
nasal reflex from recumbency, or anatomical obstruction occurring
from septal deviation, or nasal valve collapse. Sometimes, restricted
nasal breathing is simply due to the nasal passage being pressed
closed by the pillow. Aging and excess weight play a role in nasal
obstruction, too, and frequently the muscles in the face relax
causing the nasal passages to collapse.
Restricted airflow through the nose creates
dependency on mouth breathing. Inhaling through the mouth can
be a challenge. The softer tissues of the back of the throat
create drag and impede airflow.
By reducing mouth breathing, the associated
noise problems can be minimized, or eliminated. Sinus Cones™ help
this by expanding nasal passages to ease breathing and improve
the volume of oxygen inhaled, so that dependency on mouth breathing
is minimized.
40% of the U.S. population snore. Many snore only when they have
a cold, or when allergies flare up. For others with septal deviation,
or other anatomical obstructions, snoring may have commenced when
they were small children.
Alcohol plays a role as it increases muscle relaxation, which
allows the mouth to drop open, and the nasal passages to close
inward.
Sinus Cones™ help relieve all sorts of obstructions by working
inside the nose where the relief is needed, so that you are able
to breathe deeply and fully for a better night’s rest. |
